The festivities of the city of Murcia continue to receive recognition and this week it was the turn of the 'Moors and Christians'. These celebrations are held in the capital in September and have been recognized by the National Interest Tourist Board , a new impulse for this event with decades of tradition.
The Federation of Moors and Christians of Murcia has had to devote considerable time and effort to get this recognition finally granted by the State Secretariaty of Tourism of the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism. This association was established in 1983 and since then, worked to spread the festivities according to historical documents and were promoted back in the fifteenth century.
With this new recognition, the city of Murcia continues to pile honors because the Holy Week (EASTER), the Bando de la Huerta and the Burial of the Sardine have the distinction of International Tourist Interest. All these festivals are concentrated in a couple of weeks so this gives visitors an excuse to visit Murcia in another time of year.

There are two kitchens in the Murcian cuisine.
The inside (in this rain-fed agriculture and the vegetable gardens and orchards) and the coast.
In the tiny space the richness and variety is extraordinary. It must be admitted that the Murcian cuisine is not sufficiently known, but justice is one of the best in Spain. It is integrated into the Levante and Mediterranean cuisine.
